Hello Everyone
So, it's still the middle of winter and my house keeps reminding me of all the places I have failed to adequately draft proof ... but ....the days are getting longer and we are seeing practices making plans for holiday cover. So, get your sessions onto the system as soon as you are able and start thinking of long hot summer days.
Hello again everyone! It’s been a few weeks since the last monthly newsletter and I do hope that the summer has been kind to everyone. The pandemic has become an ever present for all of us but it’s important to take time out and recharge. That’s why we decided to scale back in August – a pause on newsletters and offer a couple of drop-in meetings - but we are now revving up for another autumn / winter so it’s back to normal. There’s been a lot happening behind the scenes in chambers… • Bookings and Recruitment • New members, News and Saying Goodbye • Face to face and Variability • Certificates • Meetings: Now and in the Future • Chambers Developments • NB Medical: Offer and new link with FourteenFish
Hi Everyone, I’m keeping this month’s newsletter thin on the details, given quite a few of us are on holiday. If you are, I hope you're having a fantastic time, well deserved. Just flag this for now and read it when you get back as there's a reminder about pensions forms and a great offer from NB Medical to ease your way back into the work stuff.
Coming soon - direct uploads of your pensions data from chambers to PCSE. From August we will be managing all our members pension Form A uploads to the new PCSE pensions portal. In fact, all our members will have to do is make the payment to PCSE and register this. Practice managers will not need to confirm the forms validity and members will not be required to enter and upload the data, The Medical Chambers has it all covered taking the stress out of managing your pension forms.
Let’s face it, its daunting to take that first step as a GP locum. And, although some of us thrive on challenge and change, most of us can feel overwhelmed when we start to think about taking that first step. I know I was. A decade ago I was feeling disillusioned with my job and thought locum work could be the answer. I’m a risk-averse sort of person so, of course, I hesitated. Then I found The Medical Chambers and never looked back.
